Obesity is linked to Erectile Dysfunction
Another big reason for folks to start losing weight now. According to a latest study, obese men over 50 have 30% to 40% more chances of developing erectile dysfunction (ED).
Researchers at University of Colorado Denver and University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine have illustrated how obesity and erectile dysfunction are interlinked. They ran the tests on a mildly obese 48-year-old man who was suffering from both hypertension and ED. The tests revealed that despite the use of ED medication, the man could not achieve the minimum erection for having sex.
Interestingly, when he lost his weight under medical supervision, the patient was able to achieve adequate erections with the use of ED medication as needed.
The researchers explain that “the complicated interplay of weight and other health conditions relate to common medical symptoms, such as ED. We are reminded that atherosclerosis can cause not only macrovascular disease such as heart attack and stroke, but also microvascular disease, of which ED is one example”.

I agree 100%. I use to be 320+ lbs and although at the time I didn’t think I had a problem, now that I’m 100 lbs lighter I realize that I’m still able to get spontaneous erections, I feel like I’m 12 again
keep up the good work mate

I’m 20 and in the last few months I have had erectile dysfunction! I don’t know what could be causing it either. I have stopped masturbating for a long period of time and that didn’t really help! What are some causes of erectile dysfunction? And is there any way to fix it?

Obesity can also lead to Diabetes and men with that disease can damage nerves and arteries, making it difficult to achieve an erection.

Well, this issue is always top theme of people at age of 50, but it seems that in some cases is not such a problem. Even if they are using natural products for that. I am 20 years old and hope to be at the same level at 50 as well as I see some of the men are. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Haha that would be a good reason to even more care about your health and especially your weight.
Is it related because when you overweight you produce different hormons or something? I dont really get why this is related.
Thanks for the interesting and shocking article!
